Here you can find all of the articles I’ve written about various computing topics. Rather than my self-aggrandizing blog, these articles focus on a particular topic in an educational manner, so I hope you’ll find some useful nuggets.
Calculating and Drawing Bezier Curves with BlitzMax – This article in an introduction to Bezier curves and provides algorithms and sourcecode to efficiently calculate and draw quadratic bezier curves with BlitzMax – posted 07/07/2009.
Hi imaginaryhuman, whoever you may be!
Thanks for your post on BlitzMax a year ago on getting the *** MaxIde to run on Windows Vista. I bought BlitzMax less than a week ago but have had an impossible task just trying to run the basic Print “Hello” program just to check that MaxIDE was working – instead getting numerous messages about permission denied and so on. Turns out that your simple fix of telling the shortcut to make MaxIDE run as administrator was the key to success. A simple fix, but obscure enough that I had Microsoft debugging for over 15 minutes today and not finding the simple solution, but instead asking for $79.95 to continue this unhelpful process.
I will be looking at your site in more detail and hope to contact you again when I have my game running – maybe you would like to see and/or collaborate.
Once again thanks for your tip. Made my day!
Cool man, glad it could be of help, sometimes you find the answer in the most unexpected places.
